To highlight a few key features, this Hemi engine is built on a 4.50″ bore Hemi block with water jacket cooling, allowing it to be suitable for street use. All moving parts have been expertly detailed and precision machined during the build process. The engine incorporates ARP main hardware, a Melling HV oil pump, forged steel 8-bolt Hemi crank, H-beam connecting rods, custom forged 10.25:1 pistons, Moly coated rings and bearings, and much more. The entire rotating assembly has been precisely balanced and blueprinted, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
Reed’s Rod Shop in California completed the build, taking exceptional care of this Road Runner. During the process, they rebuilt the front suspension, added a serpentine belt system, installed a massive Ron Davis Racing aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and rebuilt the power steering system. Front disc brakes were also added, along with a Wilwood Hydroboost power assist system, to accommodate the increased power of the Hemi engine.
The interior has been thoughtfully restored to its original design, with the addition of a Dakota Digital TRX gauge cluster for a touch of modern convenience. The white synthetic leather seating, black carpet and floormats, and white headliner all look practically brand new, showcasing the attention to detail in the restoration process.
This Road Runner’s exterior exudes classic charm, with original-looking Magnum 500 style wheels and RWL Cooper Cobra radials that perfectly complement its aesthetic. The Mopar rear end features SureGrip differential and highway-friendly 3.55:1 gears, ensuring a thrilling driving experience.
